Peters, Cohen advance to general election for U.S. House in California’s 50th Congressional District

Democrat Scott Peters and Republican Steve Cohen advanced to the general election for U.S. House in California’s 50th Congressional District, which includes Coronado. Peters, the incumbent, received 46% of votes, while Cohen received 44.2% in preliminary results. Both candidates have advanced to the general election in November, according to the Associated Press.
