7 Saturday: From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Emerald Keepers will be hosting a beach clean-up on Central Beach. Participants are asked to bring gloves, buckets and pickers, and extras will be available. Meet at the Emerald Keepers’ flag near the main lifeguard tower.
11 Wednesday: On June 11, a new exhibit in the C3 Gallery at the Coronado Community Center will open. The gallery, titled “Florals by Locals,” features artwork originally shown at the same exhibit during the Coronado Flower Show. An opening reception will be held at the Community Center at 4 p.m. on June 11, and the exhibit will continue through Oct. 1.
11 Wednesday: The Coronado Public Library will host Vincent “Jell-O” Aiello, a former TOPGUN instructor, combat pilot, and host of the popular “Fighter Pilot Podcast,” as he shares stories from his memoir, “Through the Yellow Visor.”
More than just dogfights and flybys, Aiello’s book offers an unfiltered look into the real world of naval aviation — where grit, resilience, and teamwork matter more than ego. The event will take place at 6 p.m.
13 Friday: The Coronado Playhouse’s upcoming production, “As You Like It,” will run from June 13 to June 29. Admission is free, but reservations are required at coronadoplayhouse.org.
