30 Monday: The Coronado Public Library will be hosting a free, winter break creative crafting session for all ages from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. An array of crafting supplies will be provided to create a one-of-a-kind item.
2 Thursday: A junior volunteer meeting will take place in the Ruby Room of the Coronado Public Library at 3:30 p.m. Junior volunteers meet every week to plan and prepare for events that they would like to put on for the community. New volunteers are welcome, and those interested can fill out an application at the reference desk in the library. The form must be signed by a parent. Teens must be in 6th – 12th grade to volunteer.
3 Friday: From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library, a free play zone will be open for children 5 years old and younger.
5 Sunday: From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Spreckels Park, more than 50 top artists in every genre, including oil, acrylic, watercolor and etching, will be featured in an art show.
Participating artists in this event, titled “Art in the Park,” will show their work to the public. They have been selected by a five person jurying process to insure consistent professional quality and originality. Many are represented in galleries and specialty shops throughout the San Diego area.
