The 2026 Patriotic Home Front Judging Contest is underway, and The Coronado Fourth of July board is calling all Coronado residents to show their patriotic spirit and participate.

Residents are encouraged to express their creativity by decking out their homes in red, white and blue.

Promoting the beautification of homes in Coronado, The Coronado Fourth of July partnered with the Coronado Flower show for the competition.

A panel led by Coronado Floral Association Home Front judging chairs Kellie Carlson and Ginny Belsha will judge houses based on a point system, using creativity, overall presentation and display as criteria. Each entry must include an American flag and at least three additional patriotic elements.

Homes must be decorated, and applications must be received, by June 23. Judging will occur on June 25 and 26.

In addition to getting 10 grandstand tickets, the winner will be announced on June 26 on the Coronado Fourth of July website, social media, press releases, and at the parade.
