Soroptimist International of Coronado and Coronado Island Film Festival are scheduled to host a free screening and panel discussion of “Three (Extra)Ordinary Women,” a documentary highlighting three women climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.

The screening, on March 8 at 2 p.m. in the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library, tells the personal stories of three women of color who have collectively overcome poverty, abuse, systemic racism and political occupation. As they trek up Africa’s tallest peak through arctic temperatures, they discover they still have emotional hurdles to climb.

RSVP at coronadofilmfest.com/three-extraordinary-women/. Seating is first-come, first-served when doors open at 1:30 p.m.
