The Coronado Public Library will host flute and guitar ensemble Duo Festudgioso for a chamber music concert on Friday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m.

In a program exploring music from the Baroque to the contemporary era, the duo will showcase Antonio Vivaldi’s “Sonata in F major,” selections from Heitor Villa-Lobos including movements from “Bachianas brasileiras No. 5,” and “Distribuição de flores.” The concert will also include more contemporary selections like Frederic Hand’s “The Maverick” and Astor Piazzolla’s “Histoire du Tango.”

Flutist Yana Yan and guitarist Ming-Jui Liu are both performers and educators based in San Diego. Together, they explore sounds of flute and guitar, presenting programs spanning classical and romantic works, folk-inspired melodies, and Latin American traditions. The duo has performed throughout Southern California.

This event is free and seating is first-come, first-served with doors opening at 12:45 p.m.
