As a longtime follower of social media famous foster mom Isabel Klee on TikTok, I know that every time she introduces a new dog to her audience and I fall in love with them, their time with her is limited. After all, the only way she can continue helping more dogs is by finding forever homes for the ones she’s cared for when the right time comes.
This goodbye seems to be especially brutal, though — both for Isabel and her followers who are now head over heels for Whimsy, the Pit Bull mix who has made a total transformation since Isabel took her in.

On Tuesday, November 25, Isabel took to TikTok to fill her followers in on the bittersweet news: Whimsy is finally healthy enough to move in with her new forever family.
The video shows Isabel sharing a few sweet, final moments with the pup, giving her lots of love before she has to say goodbye.
“You’re a completely different girl than the girl that we met,” Isabel tells Whimsy in the video, giving her a kiss. “She’s grown so much. She’s changed so much.”
Those who have been following along with Whimsy’s story are very emotional about this milestone (myself included). One commenter summed it up pretty well when they wrote, “HOW? How is your heart big enough and strong enough to do the amazing work you do? I’m bawling and need a mental health day. You’re my hero.”

Whimsy looked a lot different when Isabel first took her in just over a month ago. The sweet dog was totally emaciated and skittish after she’d been neglected for several years, and it was hard to see the toll that having such a traumatic life had on her.

Fortunately, Whimsy took to Isabel and her fiancè almost immediately, as if she knew that these were people she could be safe and relaxed around, and they’ve done great work together to heal her in the weeks since.
When it comes to Whimsy’s adoption, Isabel said that she’ll be back with more updates tomorrow, so hopefully, we get to hear the happy ending to this story very soon.
Hopefully, Whimsy’s new parents know exactly how lucky they are to have her joining their family. She’s such a special dog, and she has come so far.
