Cross country runner Morgan Maske led the charge for Coronado High School at the CIF championships on Nov. 15, finishing in 14th place with a time that qualifies her for the state meet in Fresno on Nov. 29.

This marks the third year in a row that Maske has made the trip to Fresno’s Woodward Park.

The second finisher for Coronado’s girls team on Nov. 15 was Vivian Scott, who placed 36th with a time of 21:59, followed by Maesan Everitt, Carly DeVore and Lily Humphrey.

The pushers were Nadia Roos and Ava Schlomer. The girls’ team finished in seventh place in Division 4.

The boys were led by Vincent Russo, with a 17th-place finish of 16:12. This qualified him for the All-CIF Second Team. The second finisher was Andrew Buck, followed by Anton Youngblood, Aryton Reyes and Ziggy Raunig.

The pushers were Oscar Alicandri and Chace Smith. The boys’ team placed 10th in Division 4.
