As fall sports come to a close, winter sports at Coronado High School are starting back up. This week marks the start of the season for Islander boys’ and girls’ basketball, both the girls’ and boys’ soccer teams, and girls’ water polo. 

18 Tuesday: 

Coronado girls’ basketball opens the season on the road at El Camino High School. JV tips off at 5:30. Varsity follows at 7 p.m. 

19 Wednesday: 

Islander boys’ basketball starts the season with a rivalry game at home against Point Loma. JV starts at 5:30; varsity tips at 7 p.m. 

21 Friday: 

The Coronado boys’ soccer team debuts with a match at home against Canyon Hills. JV starts at 4 p.m. Varsity follows at 6 p.m. 

The girls’ basketball squad plays the second road game in a row; this time against O’Farrell Charter. JV tips at 4 p.m. Varsity follows at 5:30 p.m. 

22 Saturday: 

Varsity boys’ basketball will be playing against Santana, to be hosted at Madison High. Tip-off is at 10:30 a.m.
