21 Tuesday: The San Diego Shakespeare Society will present a staged reading of “Twelfth Night” part two at 6:30 p.m. in the Ruby Room of the Coronado Public Library, directed by Julia Van Riper.
22 Wednesday: Head to the Coronado Public Library to hear a presentation on artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education by Lucy Campbell, Keven Jeffery and Sarah Tribelhorn, librarians at SDSU. The presentation at 11 a.m. will cover ethical and environmental issues tied to AI, including bias, inequality, social justice and concerns about privacy and data use.
22 Wednesday: The Coronado Democratic Club invites the community to its October meeting featuring Andrew Keatts, the general manager and editor at Times of San Diego. Keatts was named “Journalist of the Year” in 2018 and will share insights from his years covering San Diego’s civic life. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. in the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library.
23 Thursday: On Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Coronado Public Library, Martha C. Lawrence will talk about her newly released book “Catch People Doing Things Right: How Ken Blanchard Changed the Way the World Leads,” in conversation with local bestselling author and personal wellness expert Ken Druck.
The biography tells the story of Ken Blanchard, the bestselling author, speaker and business consultant who is recognized for his work in management and leadership.
