This week for Coronado High athletics, the girls’ volleyball team hopes to continue the dominant season, and the football team looks to win their second game in a row, coming off a bye week. 

7 Tuesday: 

To start the week, the girls’ volleyball team has a home game against Our Lady of Peace. The JV game starts at 4:30 p.m., and the varsity game starts at 6:15 p.m.

CHS boys’ water polo is also at home to face La Jolla Country Day School. Varsity plays at 3:30, and JV starts at 4:30 p.m. 

Girls’ golf heads to Riverwalk Golf Club to play Francis Parker. They’re teeing off at 3:30 p.m.

The girls’ tennis team faces University City. Varsity is at home and JV is at UC. Both matches start at 4 p.m. 

8 Wednesday: 

Girls’ golf plays their second match in as many days. This time, they’re facing rival Point Loma at Balboa, teeing off at 3:30 p.m. 

Cross country is competing in a cluster meet at Morely Field. Heat times TBD. 

9 Thursday: 

Boys’ water polo hits the road to play against Francis Parker. Varsity plays at 6 p.m. 

Girls’ tennis plays their second match of the week, this time against Christian. Varsity is at Christian and JV is at home. Both matches start at 4 p.m. 

10 Friday: 

The football team heads to Clairemont High to play a doubleheader. JV kicks off at 4, and varsity kicks off at 7 p.m.
