It’s officially playoff time for Coronado High School athletics. As the spring season comes to a close, multiple teams have playoff matchups this week.
5 Tuesday:
Varsity softball has its senior night with a home game against Lincoln High School. First pitch is at 4 p.m.
CIF volleyball and beach volleyball games start at 6 and 4 p.m., respectively. Opponent and site TBD.
Preliminaries for CIF girls’ swim start on Tuesday. Site and time TBD.
6 Wednesday:
Varsity and JV baseball both play against Patrick Henry. Varsity hits the road, and JV is at home. The games start at 4 p.m.
Wednesday is the start of CIF prelims for boys’ swim. Site and time TBD.
7 Thursday:
Freshman baseball is at home for a 4:30 matchup against Otay Ranch.
Varsity softball is back on the road for a game at Madison. First pitch is at 4 p.m.
CIF volleyball continues with matches at 6 p.m. Opponent and site TBD.
CIF beach volleyball games start at 4 p.m. Opponent and site TBD.
The CIF tournament starts for boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, with games starting at 6 p.m. Opponent and site TBD.
8 Friday:
The track team heads over to Kearny for the varsity league championship meet. Events start at 4 p.m.
Baseball plays against Patrick Henry for the second time this week, with varsity at home and JV on the road this time. First pitch for both is at 4 p.m.
Boys and girls’ swim compete in the CIF Championships. Events are at CHS and the Brian Bent Memorial Aquatics Complex, starting at 5 p.m.
9 Saturday:
Freshman baseball closes the week for the Islanders with a road game against University City at 2 p.m.
