26 Tuesday: Adults and seniors are invited to attend a lecture on artificial intelligence in the Coronado Public Library’s Winn Room at 6 p.m. on Aug. 26. The lecture will explore how AI is reshaping the world, from daily liife to cutting-edge technology.

29 Friday: Each month, the Coronado Public Library invites community members to explore different spices used in dishes around the world. On Aug. 29, dried roses will be sampled. The event begins at 2:30 over Zoom, and registration is required at coronado.librarycalendar.com.

28 Thursday: At 6 p.m. at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort, Coronado resident John Polo will be giving a free speech on kindness for anyone age 12 and up. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

30 Saturday: A free concert featuring Captain Morgan Lee is scheduled at the Coronado Ferry Landing at 2 p.m.

31 Sunday: Crown Town Music, with Coronado’s own Matt Heinecke, is slated for a performance at Spreckels Park on Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. as part of Coronado Promenade Concerts’ summer series.
