Sometimes you just want to get a little sweet treat to reward yourself or after a long day, and why should animals be any different? A horse named Rusty decided to get himself a lil’ sweet treat by licking the bird feeder placed out for the hummingbirds.

Sure, this bird feeder may be there for tiny creatures to get nourishment, but Rusty’s gotta do what Rusty’s gotta do. Just watch this horse help himself.

I love everything about this video, including the woman hilariously cracking up in the background. One person commented, “It is the rare and beautiful Humminghorse! How auspicious!”

Another person said, “My hummingbirds are way smaller here in NE Al. What the heck do you have in that feeder?! I gotta have the recipe to attract that sized one.”

Someone else added, “Horses love sweet treats. He said, Mama, if you’re not gonna give me a sweet treat, I’ll just get it myself.”

That’s very true. If you’d like to give your own horse a sweet treat, here are some ideas. Equinavia suggests bananas! They say it might sound surprising, but horses can eat bananas. A lot of them turn their noses up initially, but usually just because it’s unfamiliar. Once horses have tried bananas, they almost always love the taste, and many of them even prefer bananas to carrots. But sure, you can also try carrots, cut-up apples, pears, oranges, or bits of pumpkin or melon.

The website also has a funny and surprising suggestion, and says, “Beer! Yep! Nobody is suggesting you have an all-out party with your horse in the barn, but the occasional can of beer has been fed to horses for centuries. In fact, beer is actually quite healthy for horses. Just not so much for humans. So a can of beer mixed into his feed after a good ride might earn you some brownie points with your favorite horse.”

Maybe Rusty’s family can try filling that hummingbird feeder with beer instead!
