The connections that develop out of circumstance can sometimes be the greatest relationships of your life. For one Georgia-based UPS employee, one of those special friendships came along on his route. For 10 years, the delivery driver greeted two pups with treats and love. Now that he’s on his last shift, it’s time to say goodbye (grab the tissues).

“After more than a decade of dog treats and deliveries, a UPS driver in Georgia shared an emotional moment with a couple of pups,” the caption reads in part.
In the video shared by @abcnews on June 23, the UPS driver named Mario is a sight for sore eyes as the grateful family rushes to greet him, including two very happy dogs. The pups recognized the truck as their buddy’s sweet ride, and welcomed him much like they have every visit for years and years.
A sobbing Mom, who’s recording the special farewell, has come to know and love Mario as more than the “delivery guy.” The regular package drop-offs include a friendly smile and yummy treats for his pooch friends. During the span of the decade-long interactions, Mario is now a friend — family even.
This is one of those heartwarming videos the world needs more of right now, and it has everyone in their feelings (same). One commenter who delivers noted they do see customers more than their families at times, making Mario’s bond with the pups that much sweeter.
“This should be a UPS commercial,” one person suggested. Another wrote what we’re all feeling, “Awwwhhh man. Crying like I know Mario.”
Others praised the humanity in such a short scene, with many more hoping that Mario and the family keep in touch so their friendship can continue long past the deliveries. Based on Mom’s sniffles through the farewell, I’d like to think they will, if only to see the joy on the dog’s faces when they see their favorite person again.
Hopefully it’s not goodbye, but see you later. For all the Marios out there loving on our fur babies the way we do, thank you.
