The beach in front of the Hotel del Coronado will transform into a Greek island escape on July 11, as the Coronado Island Film Festival hosts its annual movie-on-the-beach fundraiser event — featuring “Mamma Mia!”

Attendees are encouraged to grab their boots, bell bottoms and island glam to curate ABBA-themed outfits, and a pre-show dance party will feature Zumba instructor Sue Allen Villalva.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Coronado Island Film Festival’s development fund and its mission to spotlight cinematic storytelling, support filmmakers, educational initiatives, and bring programming to Coronado year-round and during the annual five-day film festival. This year’s film festival will run from Nov. 5-9.

General admission tickets are now on sale for $40 for the movie. This includes a pre-party. VIP packages and sponsorships, which include fire pit seating for up to six guests, are also available. Visit https://coronadofilmfest.com/ to purchase tickets, and email doug@coronadofilm.com to become a sponsor.
