New York Times bestselling author Bernhard Schlink will be speaking on his new book, “The Granddaughter,” on April 22.

Hosted by Adventures by the Book, the free event will take place at the Coronado Public Library at 6:30 p.m.

Schlink is the New York Times and bestselling German author of “The Reader,” which became an Oscar-winning film  starring Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes, as well as “The Woman on the Stairs,” and “Olga.”

“The Granddaughter” offers a gripping novel that probes the past’s role in contemporary life, transporting readers from the divided Germany of the 1960s to modern day Australia.

The event is free and open to the public, but VIP guaranteed seating is available with a preorder of “The Granddaughter” from Adventures by the Book.
