For over two decades, the Coronado Historical Association has hosted a Mother’s Day Historic Home Tour, providing community members the opportunity to get an inside look at the historical abodes that grace Coronado’s streets.

This year, the tour is returning on Sunday, May 11, and participants will have the chance to walk through six historic Coronado homes — the locations revealed in a booklet on the day of the event.

“The Coronado Historic Home Tour is more than just a tour; it’s a journey through time, a celebration of our community’s architectural heritage, and a unique Mother’s Day experience,” said Christine Stokes, the executive director and curator at the Coronado Historical Association.

Stokes said that the featured residences vary each year, so returning attendees can expect a fresh tour experience. And, this year’s tour will provide access to rare gardens, along with the homes.

Member-only early bird tickets are on sale until April 15 for $55. Non-Coronado Historical Association members can access early-bird tickets by purchasing a “new member special” for $165, including two tickets and a one-year membership.

General admission is open after April 15, and tickets will be offered for members and non-members alike, at $65 and $75, respectively. After April 15, the “new member special” will be offered for $175.

Proceeds will directly support the Coronado Historical Association’s ongoing programs, including educational initiatives, archival preservation, and community outreach efforts, Stokes said.

“It’s a chance to step inside the stories that have shaped Coronado, and to support the preservation of that history for future generations,” Stokes said of the tour. “We invite community members to join us in this special event, to connect with the heart of Coronado and create lasting memories.”

Tickets can be purchased online at coronadohistory.org.
