Lamb’s Players Theatre opened its 2025 season with the Irish musical hit “Once,” and now, the show has been extended through April 26.

The production won the San Diego Critics Circle Award for “Outstanding Musical” when it was first performed at Lamb’s Players Theatre in 2018. The original Broadway production won eight Tony Awards in 2012, including “Best Musical.”

The musical follows the storyline of an Irish musician and Czech immigrant who are drawn together by their shared loved of music, according to Music Theatre International.

Performances at Lamb’s Players Theatre run on Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7 p.m. Matinee showings will also take place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.

“Once” will be directed by Kerry Meads, choreographed by Colleen Kollar Smith and feature a cast of over a dozen singers, actors and musicians.
