Coronado residents can safely dispose of personal documents and unwanted electronics at a free paper shredding and e-waste collection City event.

The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the City Hall north parking lot, 1825 Strand Way.

EDCO, the city’s waste hauler, limits personal documents to two banker boxes or containers (10″ x 12″ x 15″) per household. Unwanted electronics, including TVs, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, VCRs, DVD players, and answering machines, can also be dropped off.

Residents should not bring household hazardous waste material, appliances, or trash to the event. Visit the city’s website to learn more about the Household Hazardous Waste Collection center.

More information about the event and other recycling opportunities is available on the city’s Recycling Events webpage.
