Anticipating the annual fireworks show in Coronado, crowds of people moved towards the east side of the golf course.

A few meters away from the Coronado Bridge, boats underneath swayed in the Glorietta Bay waters.

Following a summer’s sunset, dark skies cued the night.

When the clock struck 9 p.m., an overcast of bright sparks filled the night sky.

The water reflected bright hues of every primary color right above the city’s horizons.

Boat horns, claps and cheers immediately followed a 18-minute fireworks show in Coronado, presented by the City and Coronado Fourth of July as the last of festivities in celebration of the national holiday on Thursday, July 4.

And looking to a distance, across the bay, cities in San Diego celebrated in unison before and after the hour.
