One of the hardest things to do every day is get up and leave your adorably snoozing dog or cat to go to work. I work from home, and it still feels impossible to have to leave my warm, cozy bed, where I am snuggled up with my cats and dog (all of whom insist on sleeping on top of me every night) to go downstairs and set up camp at my desk for the day, especially during the winter. I would much rather sleep in with them, but there are always things I need to be doing instead!
Our dogs are usually just as sad to see us go, which is another bummer about leaving them for the day… but that sad feeling also comes with the joy they (and we) have when we come home and are reunited with them.
@viva.la.viviEvery day i cry 😭🥹💕 #maltese #dog #small
Recently, one dog mom, @viva.la.vivi, shared what her dog, the most adorable Maltese, does when she comes home every day, and it might just be the cutest thing ever.
When she first walks in, he’s all curled up in his bed, sounds asleep. This dog is out, but as soon as he hears his mom’s voice, his eyes snap open and he immediately sits up, ready to see her. That tail starts wagging, and soon enough, he’s out of that bed and running over to his mama for some welcome home pets.
He’s so tiny, but he contains so much happiness when he finally gets to be reunited with his mom!
Commenters couldn’t help but gush over how cute he is, with more than one person calling him an angel (and they were right).
“Honestly, who told him he could be that cute?” one person wrote. I have the same question!
What do dogs do when they’re home alone?
The answer to this question is going to depend on each individual dog, but there are a few activities that seem to be more popular than the rest!
According to data that Furbo has gathered from dog parents who use the brand’s cameras to watch their dogs when they are away from home, there are seven things that dogs are usually doing more than others.
No surprise — the most popular activity is sleeping, just like the precious boy in this video. Other popular activities that have been observed include playing with their toys and their siblings, eating, barking and howling, (unfortunately) destroying things, and, of course, waiting for their humans to get home.
Whatever they do while you’re gone, rest assured they’ll be so happy to see you when you get back .
