About “Inside Out”: Riley is a 11-year-old hockey-loving girl who moves to San Francisco with her parents. Riley’s emotions — led by Joy (Amy Poehler) — try to guide her through this difficult, life-changing event. However, the stress of the move brings Sadness (Phyllis Smith) to the forefront.

Light snacks will be provided.

1 Wednesday: The Coronado Public Library and the Coronado Island Film Festival present Film Forum Coronado, a series of film screenings and discussions that take place the first and third Wednesdays of each month.

Running at 6 p.m. in the library’s Winn Room, the film forum will feature a brief introduction to each film by a film expert, followed by a discussion and pointers on how lighting and camera angles can contribute to a scene’s mood or propel the story.

Wednesday’s film will be “Bad Education (2019)”, a devious, whipsmart morality play headlined by Hugh Jackman, Allison Janney and Ray Romano. An intrepid high school student reporter unearths a massive, true-life embezzlement scandal that rocked Long Island.

4 Saturday: Storybook Inspirations is a unique program that allows grandparents and others to connect with a child in their life through shared stories.

The program takes place in the Ruby Room of the Coronado Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. One-on-one 30-minute sessions are held with trained volunteers reading a children’s book aloud. The volunteers help prepare the participants by ensuring they feel comfortable and confident in reading the book. Once the video is finalized, it will be sent to the participants on a secure link. Visit the library’s website to register.
