KMAC Foundation’s Accessible Sailing fleet will host another volunteer training session on Saturday, March 9 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Coronado Yacht Club.

Consecutive trainings will be held on March 16, April 6, 13 and 20.

The KMAC Foundation for Accessible Sailing in Coronado uses specially adapted sailboats and provides therapeutic, recreational and other sailing opportunities for people with disabilities to enhance their mobility, well-being and independence.

Jamie McArthur, the founder of the KMAC Foundation, said they need help to continue the program with a busy five months ahead and four upcoming regattas, including the Hansa Championship of the Americas from April 29 to May 2.

McArthur said KMAC Foundation provides, at no cost, sailing opportunities for people with disabilities throughout the year.
