The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) says the Hollister pump station will be taken off-line Jan. 19 for cleaning of excessive sediment buildup.
The Hollister pump station is responsible for pumping transboundary flows from Goat Canyon and Smuggler’s Gulch, two canyon collectors, into the International Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Officials say the pump station will be off-line for only a few hours and should be back online later the same day.
The USIBWC expects some transboundary flows through the Goats Canyon and Smugglers Gulch as the Hollister pump station goes through cleaning and maintenance.
Updates will follow from Area Operations Manager Morgan Rogers.
