Mega-star Taylor Swift was recently named TIME Magazine’s “Person of the Year,” and while that’s obviously driving the conversation, someone else is also getting the spotlight: her cat.
On December 6, TIME Magazine released the cover art for their “Person of the Year” edition, and Taylor’s cat is getting all the love. Take a look.

Everyone is talking about the amazing interview with Taylor in TIME Magazine, where she opened up about her music, her relationship, and her plans for the future. But she’s sharing the spotlight with someone important to her, too.

Taylor’s Cat Is Getting All the Love
Joining Taylor for the cover story in TIME Magazine is her cat, Benjamin Button. The white and brown Ragdoll cat with bright blue eyes is draped around Taylor’s neck, both looking directly into the camera.
“Taylor brought Benjamin to the photo shoot for Time Person of the Year,” TikTok user Jessica Golich shared in a quick video highlighting this iconic cat.
“This is the absolute best TIME Person of the Year cover of all time,” she says in the video. Judging by the comments section, people agree.
“Benjamin probably brought Taylor to his photo shoot,” one person wrote. “He is killing it.”
“All of those photos rocked!” another shared. “After all her work, she deserves this. GO TAYLOR.”
“Are we sure Taylor’s the Person of the Year, or is she just here to hype up Benjamin as the first animal to be Person of the Year?” another person joked.
“Benjamin brought Taylor,” added someone else.
“I need to recreate with my cat,” another person declared.
Benjamin Button Has Been With Taylor Since 2019
The first time we met Benjamin was on Instagram in 2019 when Taylor shared some kitten photos of her little Ragdoll.
“This is Benjamin Button. He’s a good boy,” she wrote at the time and included two images of him playing on the bed and peeking up where you can really see his bright blue eyes.
“I have cats. I’m obsessed with them. I love my cats so much that when a role came up in a movie called Cats, I just thought, like, I gotta do this,” she previously told TIME in 2019. “Like, this is my calling in life to do this—for the ladies.”
Taylor has several other cats as well, including Meredith Grey, named after the Grey’s Anatomy character, and Olivia Benson, named after the Law & Order: SVU character.
We love that she’s sharing Benjamin with the world and not afraid to share the spotlight.
