Farm animals are something to be cared for. They’re big, messy, and sassy most of the time. It’s a lot of work to take care of a herd!

That’s why putting the herd to work is so important. Luckily, on Monday, October 16th, a farmer had a ready and willing participant:

TikTok user @ddv8661 is “Lucky” her bull was there to help! How could she have done it without him?

So, in the video, they’re trying to flatten out a pile of something to cover the ground – it looks like dirt. In most instances, a farm animal would probably get scared and run away from the threat, but not Lucky. He sees the machinery going toward the dirt pile and very bravely starts flattening out the pile on his own.

There could be three things he’s trying to accomplish here:

  1. Helping. Maybe he just wants to help the farmer get the pile under control. Who knows, maybe he’s after an extra snack.
  2. Playing. He could see that huge pile and be attempting to frolic through it, which is adorable.
  3. Defending. The way he tries to lock horns with the machine makes it feel like he could be trying to push it away.

When he first see the machine, he puts his horns low to the ground and tries to shove it out of the way. This could mean that Lucky feels like his dominance is being threatened, and pushing his horns into it is a gentle way of saying, “back off.” Then he just starts playing in the pile: he probably feels victorious over this big, bad machine!
