Sloths are one of the world’s cutest creatures not only because they look like really happy bears but they lead really fascinating lives that can seem like slow motion.Â
On TikTok, news.com.au (@news.com.au) shared a video from the Sloth Conservation Foundation showing a worker at the park picking up a baby sloth that had fallen from the trees above. And the noises the sloth makes are worth watching on repeat — take a look!

“Baby sloth is returned to mum after falling out of a tree,” the text in the video reads.
“He’s a little boy,” the conservation worker said, showing the little sloth to the camera. “Probably about 2 months old but not enough to be without his mummy yet.”
The worker places the little sloth on the tree and you can hear his squeaky calls to his mom as he climbs up the tree where his mom is.
The comment section was filled with people who had really nice things to say about these adorable animals.
“He’ll be an adult by the time he gets there,” one person joked.
“Precious baby!! calling his mommy!! he got to her!!” another wrote.
“This makes my cry with happiness and sadness at the same time,” someone else wrote. “Thanks for saving him.”
“What a sweetheart!” shared another viewer. “Hope Mommy is close by! He needs her!”
According to WWF.org, sloths spend most of their time in trees and not doing a whole lot. “All modern day sloths are tree-dwelling, suspensorial mammals, spending most of their lives hanging motionless or slowly moving between tree branches using their long, curved claws,” the organization shares.
“Everything from feeding, sleeping, resting to mating and giving birth happens in the trees. But there are times when even sloths must leave the comfort of their tree canopies and descend to the ground.”
