Coronado Public Library has three very different book club meetings, all taking place in the Library’s Winn Room.

On Saturday, Feb. 25, the Spoilers Book Club meets from 2-5 p.m. to watch the movie “Hidden Figures,” and then discuss it and how it compares to the book. Spoilers meets on the fourth Saturday of every month from 2-5 p.m., and participants are encouraged but not required to read the book before the
meeting.

The Mystery Book Club meets to discuss The Bat by Jo Nesbo at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27.

The Mystery Book Club meets every third Monday of the month at 2 p.m. but due to the Presidents Day holiday, it is meeting this month on the fourth Monday.

The Coronado Library’s newest club, the Best of the Best Book Club, reads and discusses books that have won major awards.

This month’s meeting, on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m., focuses on Less by Andrew Sean Greer, which received the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Best of the Best meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m.

To see all of the library’s book club offerings at a glance, visit coronadolibrary.org, hover over the Events
& Exhibits tab at the top of the page, and select Book Clubs from the dropdown menu under Events Calendar.

A calendar will appear that is filtered to show just the book clubs, and you can scroll ahead to the coming month to see what to read before the next club meeting. For some clubs, you can also sign up for reminders via their listings in the Library’s events calendar.
