The Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA) is holding its 25th Anniversary Gala & Auction: Celebrating Advancing the Arts Since 1996 on March 11, at the Island Club on Naval Air Station North Island.
After a 3-year postponement because of the pandemic, the Gala Committee is excited to finally be celebrating CoSA’s founding with what is sure to be a festive night of fun, said Rebecca King, a CoSA Foundation board member who is helping plan the event.
Tickets are $150 per person or $300 per couple.
She said guests will enjoy a hosted cocktail hour, sit-down dinner, silent and live auctions, and the music of local band IT’S NEVER 2L8.
King said the Gala also will showcase the art of students from all of CoSA’s six conservatories: Classical and Contemporary Dance, Digital Arts, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre & Drama, Theatre Production, Design & Management and Visual Art.
John Weisbarth, host of Tiny House Nation, will be the Gala’s emcee and auctioneer.
Between the live auction, an opportunity drawing, and the silent auction, guests will have a chance to win everything from five nights of luxury accommodations in Costa Rica to a New York City getaway including Broadway show tickets, to a shiny new bike courtesy of Holland’s Bicycles.
Other auction items include four season passes to the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, a series of skin treatments from Natalie Falletta Skincare, San Diego Symphony tickets at the Rady Shell, a trivia night hosted by Coronado City Council Member and Coronado High School teacher Casey Tanaka, and much more, King said.
“We are so grateful for our community partners, without whom CoSA could not provide the quality arts education it has become known for,” she said.
