I am writing to express my unequivocal support for Rebecca King for Coronado City Council. Rebecca has the experience, as a former city attorney, to know how a city should work. In her role as chair and member of the Coronado Design Review Commission, Rebecca excelled at building consensus among multiple and competing viewpoints.
Because of Rebecca’s expertise garnered from her years of involvement in trying to fix our sewage crisis, she knows and understands the issues, and potential solutions, involved.
As a retired military spouse, Rebecca has first hand knowledge of the issues that affect our military community. She volunteered for the Naval Officer Spouse’s Club from 2019-2022.
All of Rebecca’s children have attended Coronado public schools. She served on the CoSA Foundation board and was the ticketing and auction software chair for CoSA’s 25th Anniversary Gala.
Along with Carrie Downey, Casey Tanaka, Bill Sandke, Paloma Aguirre, the Coronado Firefighters Association, and many others, I am proud to add my name to the list of those who support Rebecca King for Coronado City Council.
Howard Somers is the former chairman of the Coronado Mobility Commission.
