Democrat Scott Peters and Republican Steve Cohen advanced to the general election for U.S. House in California’s 50th Congressional District, which includes Coronado.
Peters, the incumbent, received 46% of votes, while Cohen received 44.2% in preliminary results.
Both candidates have advanced to the general election in November, according to the Associated Press.
