The 8th annual Youth Chess Tournament is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 3 at the Coronado Public Library.

The tournament, sponsored by the Global Neighborhood Project, welcomes chess players ages 8 to 18 to showcase their skills and passion for chess. Participants will also have the chance to meet Chess Grandmaster Vasif Durarbayli.

The event is free and will run from 12 to 4:30 p.m. Interested participants can register online at cplevents.org.
