22 Sunday: The Coronado Ferry Landing is slated to host a free weekend concert featuring Billy Lee and the Swamp Critters from 2 to 5 p.m. on March 22.

25 Wednesday: The Coronado Public Library, in partnership with the Coronado Island Film Festival, presents Film Forum Coronado, taking place the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the library’s Winn Room. 

Film expert Ralph DeLauro provides a brief introduction to each film and leads a discussion afterwards, often including pointers about how lighting or camera angles contribute to a scene’s mood or propel the story. The featured film on March 25 is “The Birds.”

26 Thursday: Through inewsource’s Documenters program, anyone can get trained and paid to take notes at South Bay government/community meetings.

A training session to become a documenter will be hosted at the Coronado Public Library on March 26 at 6 p.m. Participants will also be entered into a gift card raffle, and upon completion of the training, will have the opportunity to take on note-taking assignments at public meetings and receive compensation ranging from $17 to $24 per hour, with travel expenses covered.

28 Saturday: Coronado Public Library and Coronado High School will host the 2026 San Diego Writers Festival all day, offering writers and readers a series of workshops, panels and lectures by notable writers.
