On Feb. 7, Coronado residents are invited to step away from the noise during a sunset sound bath cruise on the bay, a two-hour gathering designed to reduce stress and support nervous system regulation.

Presented by Safe Harbor Coronado in collaboration with The Monarch Soul, the event will guide participants through a sound bath meditation as the boat moves across the water.

The event also marks the inaugural gathering of Harbor Connection, a new community initiative created by Safe Harbor Coronado in partnership with the Rotary Club of Coronado.

Harbor Connection is focused on addressing loneliness and strengthening social bonds throughout the island, with programs designed to support individuals who may be more vulnerable to disconnection, including youth, seniors and those experiencing life transitions.

“Loneliness isn’t always obvious,” said Danielle Make, executive director of Safe Harbor Coronado. “It can exist even in people who are busy, engaged and surrounded by others. Harbor Connection is about creating welcoming spaces where authentic connection can emerge naturally, especially for those who might not actively seek it out.”

This first gathering is centered on women and intergenerational female relationships.

“Our intention was to create a space where connection feels effortless and genuine,” said Stephanie Clegg, founder of The Monarch Soul and a Coronado resident. “When people share a quiet, restorative experience, especially across generations, something meaningful naturally unfolds.”

Proceeds from the evening benefit Safe Harbor Coronado’s community-based programs. Registration details can be found at safeharborcoronado.org.
