Some of us are slaves to social media trends, and some of us are just over them.
And one of the people, or animals, who is not that big a fan of adhering to trends is this Dachshund from the account @charlie_chance_doxies.
The account documents a family’s adventures with their twin Dachshunds, Charlie and Chance.
Now we aren’t sure which Dachshund, Charlie or Chance, was vehemently against the wrapping paper trend, but it was sure fun to watch.
In case you didn’t know, the viral wrapping paper pet photo trend is where you take a big sheet of holiday wrapping paper and tape it to a wall, and then have your dog stick his head through the middle of the sheet.
It gives a humorous effect and bonus points if you put fun reindeer antlers or something similar on the pup.
However, neither Charlie nor Chance was a fan, and when their mom set up the photo shoot with wrapping paper, one of them proceeded to eat the paper.
And it’s too bad because the wrapping paper was super cute, as it featured two Dachshunds on it!
However, it looks like before he made a paper snack of it, his mom did manage to get a few photos.
She wrote in the caption, “Hardest trend I’ve tried with a Doxie.” She also noted the wrapping paper was from @shopcanelo.
Sounds like people definitely relate to this not-so-smooth photo shoot in the comments.
One wrote, “I’m so glad I’m not the only Doxie mom who struggled with this trend.”
Another said, “My dog’s favorite activity is ripping up things made out of paper and cardboard, so I’m not really sure how we’d ever attempt this.”

Is there a secret to the viral wrapping paper photo trend?
So it does seem like a lot of people are getting very cute photos from this trend, so is there a trick to it?
Treats seem to help a lot, but sometimes the photos that aren’t perfect end up with the best results!
It also really depends on the dog.
For the following two Dachshunds, named Hollie and Hazel, they managed to pull it off, with lots of treats.
@hazel.bea.weenieStill in need of a better camera it seems. But it works for now! Any tips for better iPhone photos are welcomeđŸ«¶ #wienerdog #dogsoftiktok #dachshund ♬ Sleigh Ride (Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring tingle tingling too) – The Ronettes
