Residents and visitors alike can support local businesses by participating in the Small Business Saturday event on Nov. 29, organized by Coronado MainStreet in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Emerald Keepers.

Shoppers can explore boutiques, art galleries and eateries along Orange Avenue and at the Coronado Ferry Landing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and entertainment — featuring a live DJ and selfies with Santa — will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plus, all purchases will be gift wrapped, aiding in a hassle-free holiday shopping experience.

This year, Coronado MainStreet is collaborating with Emerald Keepers to wrap gifts in an eco-friendly way at a table set up in Rotary Park.

Coronado MainStreet provides a Shop Small Passport, designed to encourage people to support local businesses during the holiday season. On these passports is a list of participating shops and restaurants, each offering discounts or specials.

As shoppers visit these locations, they will get their passports stamped. At the end of the event, participants can bring their passports to the table at Rotary Park to be eligible to win prizes.
