Some friendships can’t be explained with words. You have to see the magic to believe it, and there’s no better example than the unlikely pet pairs who seem to work their bonds like it’s their jobs!

Senior Corgi, Brady, once made the best of friends with a tiny hamster named Pat, and their unique relationship will give you all the warm fuzzies!

Now that Brady’s a distinguished gent—and he has Corgi bro Graffiti—he’s slowed down a bit. But the memory of his bond with Pat lasts a lifetime. Watch as sweet Brady instinctively knows that this little hamster was meant to cross his path.

This is one of the sweetest pet pairs I’ve ever seen. Brady clearly understood the big brother assignment from day 1, and Pat eagerly accepted the role of pint-sized cutie patootie sidekick. These two had no idea what would come of their bond, but I’m sure if, even after all this time, Brady came across another hamster, he’d remember those memories with Pat fondly.

Being a senior Corgi whose age has begun to show physically and appearance-wise (like losing his fur helmet), Brady now enjoys spending time in different ways. For instance, being seasoned in age, he sticks to a strict schedule, so don’t mess with his bedtime, or he’ll put himself to bed.

Corgis are amazing pups

I think sweet Brady is a stellar example of how amazing (and funny) Corgis are. I may be biased as a Corgi mom to my Tater Tot, but this is a breed beloved by royalty and farmers for the same reasons—and I’m more than happy to brag about them.

They’re fiercely loyal and seem to forget their short, stumpy stature when confronting pups much bigger than them if it means keeping their humans safe. If you’ve ever wanted a furry companion who’s eager to please, enjoys praise from making their humans happy, and is a tirelessly hard worker who will herd anything for hours on end (kids, cats, you name it!), this is the dog for you.

Even as they age, Corgis like Brady maintain their sweet-natured, happy-go-lucky selves. Whether they’re befriending a tiny hamster, faking an injury on a walk for attention, or putting themselves to bed, Corgis are the epitome of a “good dog.”
