9 Sunday: The Point Loma Artists Association is scheduled to present Viewpoints, an exhibition featuring a collection of 2D and 3D works from 30 member artists who live and create on the Point Loma peninsula. The exhibit will be in the Spreckels Reading Room Gallery at the Coronado Public Library from November 2025 through January 2026.
10 Monday: Through Nov. 10, the Soroptimist Club of Coronado is collecting personal care items to assemble into gift bags and donate to women and their children, along with independent teenage girls. The donations will support survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence and homelessness through groups like Generate Hope, Point Loma Nazarene University’s Center for Justice and Reconciliation, Mary’s Guest House, Rotary Club Binacional and more.

12 Wednesday: The Coronado Public Library and the San Diego Writers Festival will host a series of writing workshops this fall. Each focused on a different topic, writers both new and experienced will find new strategies to hone their craft.
On Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Coronado Public Library, attendees will learn tips to help get the word out on their work. The event will take place via Zoom, and registration is open at coronado.librarycalendar.com.
13 Thursday: The Coronado Public Library hosts open chess play on the second Thursday of every month between 3 and 5 p.m. in the Winn Room. Enjoy playing chess with others, or learn to play or improve your game with help from facilitator and local chess coach Chuck McClung. Chess boards and pieces provided. Open to all adults age 18 and older.
14 Friday: Children ages 5 and younger can attend a preschool story time at the Coronado Public Library at 11 a.m. on Nov. 14.
16 Sunday: Art in the Park is scheduled at Spreckels Park on Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 50 top artists in San Diego County, in every genre, will display their artwork, providing the community the chance to converse directly with the artists.
16 Sunday: The Coronado Ferry Landing is slated to host a free weekend concert from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 16, featuring the Crimson Collar Band.
