It will be a packed schedule for Coronado High School sporting teams this week, with three teams playing twice – volleyball, tennis and cross country – and the girls’ golf team clocking in three matches. The week is capped off with a CHS football game under the lights at Canyon Hills.
14 Tuesday:
The girls’ volleyball team opens the week with a doubleheader at Christian High School. JV starts at 4:30, and varsity follows at 6:15 p.m.
The girls’ golf team faces Our Lady of Peace at Riverwalk Golf Club, teeing off at 3:30 p.m.
The girls’ tennis team is playing High Tech High San Diego. The JV girls are at home, playing at 4 p.m. The varsity squad will be at Barnes Tennis Center, with matches starting at 6 p.m.
15 Wednesday:
Girls’ golf heads back to Coronado Golf Course to compete against University City, teeing off at 3 p.m.
Cross country is back at Morely Field for a cluster meet. Heat times TBD.
16 Thursday:
Girls’ golf plays for the third time in as many days, this time against Francis Parker, teeing off at Coronado Golf Course at 3 p.m.
The girls’ tennis team is taking on Canyon Hills High. JV is at home, and varsity is at Canyon Hills, with both matches starting at 4 p.m.
17 Friday:
The girls’ volleyball squad hits the road to play Scripps Ranch. JV starts at 4:30, and varsity follows at 6:15 p.m.
The boys’ water polo team will be playing against Clairemont High at Mesa College. Varsity starts at 6:45; JV will follow at 7:45 p.m.
The Coronado cross country team has its second meet of the week, the Mt. Sac Invitational at Mt. Sac High in Walnut, CA. Heat times TBD.
Islander football closes out the week with games on the road at Canyon Hills. JV kicks off at 4, and varsity at 7 p.m.
