2 Sunday: Art in the Park is scheduled at Spreckels Park on Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 50 top artists in San Diego County, in every genre, will display their artwork, providing the community the chance to converse directly with the artists.

5 Wednesday: This Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers support group meeting is for those actively caring for individuals with memory loss. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of the month and led by a trained facilitator from Alzheimer’s San Diego. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the Coronado Public Library’s Ruby Room. For more information visit alzsd.org.

8 Saturday: An art class for kids takes place twice a month from  11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Ruby Room of the Coronado Public Library for children ages 5 through 12. Instructor Laurie Nasica is an experienced children’s art teacher who teaches at La Jolla Elementary School as well as the Kalabash School of Music and the Arts, also in La Jolla. She is also a freelance artist. Registration is encouraged but not required at coronado.librarycalendar.com.

9 Sunday: The Coronado Ferry Landing is slated to host a free weekend concert from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 9, featuring The BlueFrog Band.
