21 Sunday: Art in the Park is slated in Spreckels Park on Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 50 top artists in San Diego County, in every genre, will display their artwork, providing the community the chance to converse directly with the artists.
23 Tuesday: Historian David Miller is scheduled to give a talk on the people and places of the Mexican-American War in San Diego at the Coronado Public Library at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 23. Miller received his PhD from the University of California, San Diego in 2007. His research focus is the social and cultural history of the nineteenth-century United States. Â
26 Friday: Concert pianist Vania Pimentel is scheduled to perform at the Coronado Public Library at 1 p.m. Pimentel lived in Italy from 2005 until 2009, and performed at the series Pianomaster in Gravedona Lake Como, and chamber music at the Blaue Blume concerts in Frankfurt. Afterwards, she lived in San Diego until 2022. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the performance.
