Ed Kornhauser, a four-time San Diego Music Award winner known for his dynamic improvisation and accomplished style, will lead a jazz performance at the Coronado Public Library on July 25 at 1 p.m.
Kornhauser is known on the San Diego jazz circuit as a piano virtuoso. He will be joined on stage by Mackenzie Leighton, a bass performer with a master’s degree in music from San Diego State University. Leighton performs regularly with his own groups and has shared the stage with artists such as Sammy Figueroa, Peter Sprague and the San Diego Symphony.
Kevin Higuchi rounds out the group as he brings a rhythmic drumming to the trio. When not playing locally, he tours nationally with punk rock powerhouse Jeff Rosenstock.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, and doors open at 12:45 p.m. Learn more at cplevents.org.
