Over 40 homes were entered in the Coronado Fourth of July’s 2025 Homefront Decorating contest to celebrate patriotic displays across the island, and 941 Cabrillo Ave. was awarded the grand prize.

The owners, Larry and Cindi Pearson, received 10 grandstand seats for the 4th, along with a yard sign announcing their property as the top house.

The next five top homes — 711 Tolita Ave., 530 H Ave., 880 Coronado Ave., 267 E Ave. and 850 B Ave. — also received a yard sign.

The judges for the 2025 competition were co-chairs Kelly Kindorf and Lori P. Smith, committee members Brenda Ayoub and Elle Morales, and Coronado Fourth of July board member Carrie Downey.
