I have always been a huge travel lover. No matter how much fun I’m having on vacation, I’ll admit that I’m always excited to sleep in my own bed and be in my familiar, comfy surroundings again. But more than that, I’m most looking forward to reuniting with my pets. None of them like to travel much, so I have to leave them behind, but that just means the reunion is even sweeter when I get home.
It seems like Martha Stewart may feel the same way. On Friday, July 4, the lifestyle guru shared photos of her Persian cats who waited up to see her when she returned home from an international trip, even if her dogs couldn’t hang!

In the pictures, we can see Martha’s cats Dahlia, Magnolia, and Lilium waiting so patiently for their mom to get home. They must have really missed her (and I have a feeling it was mutual).
“I returned from my Luminara trip to Italy last evening — the dogs were already asleep, but the three Persians waited up for me,” Martha wrote in her caption. “They are sooooooo precious! Dahlia, Magnolia and Lilium are friendly and lovely and congenial, and to think these three adoptees were not long ago living very different lives!!”
As one commenter pointed out, these cats really won the jackpot when they ended up getting adopted by Martha Stewart!
Martha adopted all three of these cats relatively recently, but the most recent was Lilium, the brown Persian cat she found through Rock’N’Rescue, as she shared in a blog post she published in June.
“Lilium traveled all the way from Doha, the capital city of Qatar in the Middle East,” she wrote. “She joins Magnolia and Dahlia, also beautiful Persians. All three are doing well and getting to know each other. No doubt they will soon be good friends.”
Before that, Martha announced the arrival of the white cat, Dahlia, in February, and Magnolia in January, so all three cats are relatively new arrivals to her family. Still, it looks like they all already love their mom so much!
