Pup cups are something everybody knows about. You can find at least one dog per day who went to get a pup cup: many make it part of their daily routine. There are occasionally some “unconventional” animals who come through for one, too, like pigs and cats!
However, none are as unconventional as this: on Tuesday, July 22nd, a Cockatoo came through the drive-thru for one of these tasty treats! Armed with her red harness and her sparkling personality, she quickly became a huge hit with all of the baristas!

The Parrot Lady must know she has quite possibly the biggest bird star on TikTok, right? Sweet Pea is basically a celebrity! I’m surprised they weren’t asking for her claw-tograph!
Sweet Pea makes friends wherever she happens to be in the world. At home, she has “her Labrador,” who’s her best friend in the whole wide world. She’s also been known to make friends with friendly Frenchies and she’s even chatted up repairmen when she had the chance.
One of her favorite things to do is go out. Whether she’s going on vacation or just taking a quick car ride, she’s always down. She loves wearing her harness! On this trip, they went to Starbucks, where she became the funniest animal to ever pull up for a pup cup.
Of course, birds cannot have a lot of dairy. They’re lactose intolerant! So, while they gave her all the love they had, they did not end up giving her a pup cup. That’s okay: if given the choice between a snack and attention, she’d usually choose attention anyway.
I’m surprised she didn’t ask to speak to their manager, because she has been known to throw a fit…

Cockatoos have an attitude. It’s what you sign up for when you get one, and luckily, that’s what most people want. If you also want to turn heads wherever you go, try taking them out on a leash!
