One of the most magical aspects of living with a pet is when you realize that they adore you just as much as you adore them. Pets provide us with unconditional love and all they really want is to be cared for by us and be close to us. That’s it.

The precious Chihuahua‘s clip had the sweetest caption, which reads “Soulmated so hard that I inevitably signed myself up for what will be the worst heartbreak of my life. Can you just live forever, please?” and so many of us understand that sentiment with our own fur babies. No one ever wants to think of their cat or dog passing, but that’s the price we pay for getting to love them while they are here on earth.
One person commented, “Lost 19 years in a flash last month when my soulpup (also a long-haired chi) decided it was his time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Don’t waste another moment engulfed in anticipatory grief. Make as many core memories as you can with your sweet baby. I truly thought we would make it to 20… it really does go by in the blink of an eye.”

I think this clip is just a lovely excuse for all of us to spend a good portion of our day today loving on our cats and dogs and showing them how much they mean to us.
There’s nothing as wonderful as the love of our pets.
