The No. 1 ranked Coronado High School baseball team fell to the No. 2 seeded Mt. Carmel Sundevils 7-0 on May 27 in the CIF playoff semifinals, ending their 2025 campaign one game short of competing for the Division 2 crown.

The Islanders finished the season with a 22-10 record overall, and a 9-3 record in city league play. After starting the season 18-7, they posted a 2-3 record the rest of the way, including two losses to Mt. Carmel. Still, they were able to earn the No. 1 seed in the Division 2 bracket.
