Cockatoos are great on their own. They’re the life of the party, always keeping their loved ones on their toes. They never know when to shut up, and yet, it never gets old. It’s like having a toddler you don’t have to teach human societal norms to!
On Friday, May 23rd, one Cockatoo totally hit the jackpot. When he went outside to play that day, he found out that he actually had two friends there to play with him: a tortoise and a hare. I hardly believed it, but you seriously have to see:

Charlie Jr. is, perhaps, the world’s most invasive Cockatoo. Charlie never met personal space he couldn’t invade, and he loves that about himself. His favorite person to annoy is his dad, especially when he’s napping! However, he’s not picky. As long as it’s fun, he’s all good!
He loves to go outside, too. He goes out often, always supervised, and loves to play in the yard. The grass feels nice on his claws! On this day, it was gorgeous outside, so all the siblings were out, including a tortoise and a bunny. He wanted them to race, but unfortunately, they refused.
Your pets can all interact occasionally, even if you have an eclectic collection of them. You might just need to take extra precautions. For example, a Cockatoo and a dog can be best friends, but you have to keep everything clean, because birds can carry salmonella.
Most reptiles can, too, typically in their waste. Just try not to let any of your other pets lick/ eat anything that gets dropped on the floor, and always give them a bath after a playdate. It might go without saying, but you should be supervising them, too!
Also, if you have a tortoise and a hare, you’ve got to make them race. Charlie is so disappointed!
