Dogs are one of the greatest gifts anyone can have in life. Their love and devotion goes above and beyond what any other creature could possibly provide, and they do it with selfless, blind loyalty, never expecting much in return except a little love.
That said, in today’s emotionally devastating news, Nala the sweet senior Golden Retriever had one last surprise before crossing the rainbow bridge—one final visit to the backyard where she watched “her” children grow up. You’re going to need tissues for this one.

Even writing about the heartwarming scene has me choked up. Nala’s face of joy and gratitude is like the final gift to her family for taking care of her all these years.
Various videos show all the ways they loved Nala, including lighting a fire for her every night (her favorite), and letting her walk around the yard as long as she wants before bedtime.
Between the birthday parties celebrated in her honor, to clips of the now adult children who grew up with the Golden, she’s lived a wonderful life and I know her family, friends, and followers will miss her dearly.
Some wrote in the comments what she must’ve been thinking while seeing her yard.
